Hello there! How have you been doing? It feels good to be writing to you again.
To begin with, whatever is it I say here—on this newsletter—is serving as a reminder for you and me. I am not perfect but striving for progress just like you are. And in the cause of doing this, I would love to appeal that you take any misdeed or inappropriate use of words (if they are any) of mine as an attribute of my imperfect nature. And that you do not take them to heart.
Let’s move to today’s business, shall we?
When you focus on what's wrong and should change with others rather than yourself, then you might have a hard time coping with other people’s changing ecosystem and find realizing and actualizing your self-worth difficult.
In Robert Kiyosaki’s words, you are the easiest person to change because YOU are YOU. For further reading, here, I mentioned how accepting that there is an issue is the first step toward getting it solved.
As humans, we are meant to be diverse and hierarchical. That's how our creator (the mighty; exalted) wanted it to be. You might be best at some things, but naive at others. That which appears strange to you, it is possible that others are gurus at it. A cap doesn't have to fit all, and it's fine. YOU are YOU, so, you should know within yourself, where and when you perform gracefully. Target it and put in your best.
Exercise restraint on yourself so much that you do not feel unhappy and incapacitated each time you do not do well at a thing. On another trial, you can do very much better, and even better at other things.
This isn't a regular “failure determines success” quote; it is what it is.
In No Excuse: The Power Of Self-discipline, Brain Tracy said, “successful people make sure that everything they do in the short term is consistent with where they want to end up in the long term. They practice self-discipline at all times.
A question for you today.
Are your short-term actions correlating together with your long-term goals?
So many dos and don't out there. In the end, the choice is solely yours to make; to know yourself, do what you love and are good at, and stay happy.
Wishing you all the most effective things life can offer you.
Best regards,
Roqeebat Bolarinwa.
Who is in charge?
Thank you so much for the subtle reminder, Roqeebat.
Not all of my short-term actions correlate with my long-term goals, truth be told.
You know, 2+2 isn't always equal to 4; life doesn't go as planned most times.
"Man proposes, God disposes," but we go dey alright las las.
Something to think about… thank you Roqeebat
