Over the weekend, I found 2 new perspectives about seeking knowledge in general.
I was in the same room with Taaooma last Saturday.
Not her bedroom, and not mine either.
She was a panellist at the wealth summit organized at my school, and was on a session with Mr Tobi Awe, the CEO of MMC studios.
One of the panel questions was on how she found her muse to stay creative.
Her response: watching movies.
She said she isn’t a “read books” kind of person although she knows the benefits of reading books.
Perspective 1.
Next was Uncle JD, a keynote speaker.
Some highlights from his session are:
• When you read so well to understand the human experience, you become exceptional.
• Build a FORMIDABLE circle of companions: when you share innovations and ideas, you get to sharpen each other.
• Eavesdrop on timeless conversations.
Based on the last point, he mentioned how he valued audio recordings as far back as the 18th century. The world wasn’t as developed as it is now, but he found so many lessons to learn from.
To him, podcasts and video conversations weren't an exception for learning, but he reads a lot, too.
Perspective 2.
Where does this bring us?
To generate new outputs, we must first engage in the act of consuming.
Consumption is in a variety of forms.
By simply observing our immediate surroundings, we can locate several opportunities as well as problems. And yes, they either shape or break us.
If you’d gain one thing from this newsletter, it should be that learning is beyond reading books.
Becoming your best self isn't about consuming endless self-help books, watching countless productivity videos, setting perfect goals, subscribing to numerous newsletters, or attending every workshop.
It's about how you apply what you learn, not just gather information. True productivity and growth blooms from action, not accumulation.
In this newsletter publication, our goal is all about growing every day.
As I learn new ways to improve, I want to make sure you're not static, too.
The ideas I share are just suggestions. You can modify them to suit your own needs or ignore them completely.
To growth, cheers! 🥂
How has the month been for you?
In Aproko Doctor’s voice now, “drink water, drink water, drink water.”
It's a phase and we hope it passes soon.
Till the very next time,
This is sure helpful.
Thank you so much Roqeebat for sharing I appreciate a lot 🙏🙇♂️.
